William Kirkley began his career in Los Angeles directing music videos at the young age of 17. But it was his move to New York that he considers his most transformational as a filmmaker. William befriended the beat poet and Warhol Superstar Taylor Mead on whom he made his first documentary feature that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, was selected for the Whitney Biennial and Art Forum magazine named one of their top ten films of the year. Since then William has traveled the world to more than 25 countries photographing guerrilla street art, making short documentaries for world aid organizations, and finding the nearest beach to go for a swim. William enjoys crafting commercial spots that gravitate toward real people and authentic moments and lifestyle. William has directed ads for Chevrolet, Coca-Cola, Reebok, Kraft and many others. William shoots, directs, edits and does the graphics when he gets the chance.
