Quick Spring Blast Session - Rutland Water
It felt like I hadn't been out in ages, what with poor conditions of late, a period of sickness to contend with, and also being really busy at the store. Anyway today was forecast to be a little more spring like (& dry!) and importantly blowing fairly hard side-shore, thus it was phones on divert this morning and off to the club for a quick couple of hours!
I certainly felt like I hadn't sailed for a while (a bit off windsurf fitness) but quickly got back into it and wasn't at all cold in a 4/3mm suit. The best thing about heading out after some time off is that total rush that only windsurfing can deliver - I just love it!
There was plenty of wind for the 6.2m Neil Pryde Hydrogen sail and I ran that on the ever trusty JP All Ride 96 and the new JP Slalom VIII 56 - what a terrific set of wheels, so looking forward to having some burn-ups on that over the coming months.
Anyway, hopefully this is the start of the season proper now, and I can't wait to get out there again! A little company would have been nice!
