With a strong technical and photographic background as a cinematographer, John turned his talents from award winning DOP to directing and has been behind the camera ever since, travelling the world directing commercials and corporate films.
Following a very intensive association with New York master image maker, Lester Bookbinder, bridging both Stills and commercials. John embarked on a highly successful career as a DOP in commercials, where he began perfecting his craft. John moved into Haute Couture to light for the artist and director Jean-Paul Goude.
Highly awarded as both DOP and director, including D&AD, Cannes Lions and Campaign Media awards. Coming from his photographic background, hair and beauty brands have been his focus. Pantene and Organics, amongst them. Working with JWT, Publicis and Grey. Recent credits include Apple iPhone, iPad and Vodafone.
