Leonora Lonsdale

In 2009 Leonora won a place to NYU's graduate film-making program through the W.T.C Johnson Fellowship.

Her second year adaptation of Evelyn Waugh's classic short 'Bella Fleace Gave a Party', starring Sian Phillips and John Standing, received a Student Academy Award nomination, and is currently being showcased at international film festivals including Palm Springs Shortsfest, Aspen Shortsfest and the Seattle International Film Festival. 'Bella Fleace' also recently won the Jury Recognition Award for Acting and Cinematography at the First Run Film Festival in New York.

Moving on from her studies, Leonora has recently written and directed several sequences for the upcoming feature 'Black Dog, Red Dog', produced by and starring James Franco, along with a cast including Whoopi Goldberg, Logan Marshall-Green and Chloe Sevigny. Now hopping between London and New York, Leonora is looking to develop her career into the commercial and advertising directorial remit.
