Jib - A Hollywood Style Experience

So you’re probably asking yourself, ‘what is a jib?’ Well, in cinematography, a jib is a boom device with a camera on one end, and a counterweight and camera controls on the other. It operates like a see-saw, but with the balance point located close to the counterweight, so that the camera end of the arm can move through an extended arc. A jib permits the camera to be moved vertically, horizontally, or a combination of the two. (source: Wikipedia)
Now, you’re probably thinking to yourself, ‘Wow, that’s cool but how does the film look when a Jib is used?’ Well, we’ve got you covered there too! We put together a short video to help our clients understand how a Jib can add some really cool footage to their wedding film. Take a look for yourself and share with us what you think.
